STUDENT SENATE is a component of the Senate of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE Bucharest) and the Union of Students of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (USASE) representing the interests of students enrolled in the university. It identifies the issues students face, collaborates with the university’s management structures, and strives to improve the student community's well-being. The Permanent Bureau of the Student Senate comprises the president, four vice-presidents, a general secretary, and a secretary. The Student Senate has been operating under regulatory bases since June 12, 2001.
The activities of the Student Senate focus on the following aspects:
- improving ASE Bucharest regulations and methodologies;
- monitoring the quality assurance of the educational process;
- identifying and securing placements for internships and specialized practice;
- providing support for incoming and outgoing Erasmus students;
- offering support to international students at ASE Bucharest;
- organizing conferences, cultural, and sports events;
- organizing debates and meetings on various economic theory or practice topics;
- organizing social involvement and volunteering events;
- conducting psychological and career counseling activities;
- improving living conditions in student dormitories;
- managing and improving services within canteens;
- enhancing the scholarship allocation process;
- improving the ticket distribution process for student camps;
- streamlining the process of refunding RATB subscriptions;
- informing students, drafting a periodic newsletter, and maintaining constant dialogue with students;
- organizing ASE Bucharest's international summer school, “Bucharest Summer University” – www.bsu.ase.ro.
