THE STUDENT COUNCIL is represents all students enrolled in bachelor's and master's programs. Composed of elected representatives from each study year and series, the Council ensures transparent communication between students, academic staff and administrative offices.
Mission of the Student Council
- maintaindirect, regular and meaningful contact with fellow students to understand their needs and challenges; ;
- consultstudents before initiating proposals and participating in decision-making processes that affect them;
- gather and present feedback from student representatives and peers, as well as personal observations, suggestions, and proposals;
- collaborate with professors and administrative staff (secretariat) responsible for each study series;
- consult the represented group, , regarding academic schedules, evaluations and exam calendars; support the semesterly evaluation process of teaching staff;
- participation in organizing the election process for student representatives at group series, year and faculty levels;
- propose new student-focused projects that could be developed by USASE;
- provide approvals regarding activities in various Specialty Committees or Clubs of USASE;
- validating student candidacies for elections for student representatives in the Faculty Council.
Each Student Council includes a Permanent Bureau composed of students who are members of the Faculty Council.
Permanent Bureaus of Student Councils have the following responsibilities:
- actively participating in Faculty Council meetings and presenting student feedback , as well as personal observations, suggestions, and proposals;
- appointing representatives to admission committees for bachelor's and master's programs, as well as the organization committee for the faculty's bachelor's exam;
- appointing representatives to scholarship committees, camp ticket allocation committees provided by the ministry, and any other committees at the faculty level that include student representatives;
- organizing elections at group, series, year, and faculty levels;
- validating candidacies for student representatives participating in elections for student representatives in the University Senate;
- supporting the semesterly academic evaluation process;
- nominating student representatives for the housing committee;
- organizing faculty-level events such as conferences, university opening ceremonies, meetings with faculty leadership , freshman balls, and other academic, cultural, economic, and social activities
