STUDENT COUNCIL is composed of all student representatives from each study year of bachelor's and master's programs and has the following responsibilities:
- maintaining direct and constant contact with fellow students to understand the situations they face;
- consulting students before initiating proposals and participating in decision-making affecting them;
- considering feedback from student representatives and peers, as well as personal observations, suggestions, and proposals;
- maintaining communication with professors and administrative staff (secretariat) responsible for the represented series;
- consulting the series they represent, conveying the majority opinion to professors, and participating in scheduling evaluation and exam dates;
- involvement in the semesterly evaluation process of professors who conducted activities in study groups;
- participation in organizing the election process for student representatives at group and faculty levels;
- making proposals regarding projects that could be developed by USASE;
- providing approvals regarding activities in various Specialty Committees or Clubs of USASE;
- validating candidacies of student representatives for participation in elections for student representatives in the Faculty Council.
Each Student Council has a Permanent Bureau composed of students who are members of the Faculty Council. Permanent Bureaus of Student Councils have the following responsibilities:
- actively participating in Faculty Council meetings and presenting feedback from students, along with personal observations, suggestions, and proposals;
- appointing representatives to admission committees for bachelor's and master's programs, as well as the organization committee for the faculty's bachelor's exam;
- appointing representatives to scholarship committees, camp ticket allocation committees provided by the ministry, and any other committees at the faculty level that include student representatives;
- organizing elections at group, series, year, and faculty levels;
- validating candidacies of student representatives for participation in elections for student representatives in the University Senate;
- involvement in organizing and conducting the academic semesterly evaluation process;
- nominating student representatives to the housing committee;
- organizing conferences, university opening ceremonies, meetings with faculty management representatives, freshman balls, and other academic, cultural, economic, and social events at the faculty level.
